It’s Fall – This is the kickoff ? season starting with football of course and Halloween – bonfires hot chocolate marshmallows and whipped cream .  I like to cozy up to that crackling fire holding a warm cup of chocolate and wrapped in a wool blanket to keep warm on these cool autumn nights.  Is that not the best?  Oh and what about the pumpkins too?  I mean everything pumpkins coffee bagels creme cheese and how about pumpkin cake.  My friend Bernie over at http://www.agoudalife.com had a wonderful recipe on her blog for banana pumpkin bread .  I made it for my friends birthday.  Of course hands down-a big hit.  Thanks Bernie for sharing – quick easy and so delicious.

The basket is from the thrift store. It is a grey and green color and goes quite well with the Target towel

The white monogrammed pumpkin is from the TJMaxx store. A great place for everything for the home and fashion. The cute white dishes on each side of the pumpkin are a thrift store find  but originally from the Hallmark Store. There are pumpkin candles under the lid. The two small orange pumpkins are actually salt and pepper shakers from the thrift store as well. The pretty “Many Thanks” white and gold card was a thank you card from my niece and nephew and so appropriate for the season.

A closer view of the pumpkin salt and pepper shakers and the thank you card.  The vine of multicolored fall berries is also a thrift store find from last year.

Then comes Thanksgiving. Do you like to decorate the inside of your house for the fall? I get very excited at this time of year. All summer I have been outside tending to the flowers and gardens. Don’t get me wrong. I truly enjoy taking in the fresh air and nature. However, when the seasons start changing I am ready to come inside snuggle and enjoy my home.  I like to start decorating and getting things ready for all the upcoming events that Fall has to offer.

The orange polk a dot buckets one each side of the basket are from Targets

The lovely green pumpkin with the satin orange ribbon I found at the thrift store and the pumpkin cookbook and black cat too
The lovely green pumpkin with the satin orange ribbon I found at the thrift store with the pumpkin cookbook and black cat too.  The grey pillow you see in the background is actually a towel (TJMaxx) wrapped around a white feather pillow.  I hope you liked my pictures and tour of the dinner room.

More pictures of the dining room tour  The dining room is large with a bay window that expanses clear across the room.  There is a lovely view overlooking the side yard and the lake as well. image image image image image image image

Decorating is all about the lifestyle you live.  I like the classic look with a formal theme.  Our dining room sometimes can be formal and other times more on the casual side.  It depends on what the event is. Thanksgiving is a formal time of white tablecloths set with white dishes and cloth napkins.  However,  Christmas is very casual so stay tuned for the tour… Thank you for by coming by to visit. What is your kind of decorating style?  Are you formal or more casual?  Let me know at http://www.andwineknot.com or email me at dana2fly@comcast.net   See you soon❤️Dana
